Refunds and Returns Policy

Halibut Electronics provides a warranty on all electronics products and kits.  Unless specified otherwise, the warranties are as follows:

Finished Products (not kits)

  • Halibut Electronics provides a one-year warranty on the workmanship of the hardware.  If the device fails (except due to misuse), Halibut Electronics will repair, replace, or refund the product, at its discretion.  Halibut Electronics may require the product be returned to us, at the customer’s expense, to verify the state of the device before making a determination whether to repair, replace, or refund the product.  Halibut Electronics may offer to reimburse that shipping at its discretion. 
  • Non-warranty returns and refunds of undamaged hardware in re-sellable condition will be accepted up to 30 days after receipt of the product by the customer as confirmed by the shipping carrier.  Return shipping will be paid by the customer.  If the hardware is damaged in shipping to the customer, it becomes a warranty claim.  If the customer’s misuse damages the hardware, the liability is on the customer.

Kits

  • Halibut Electronics provides a 90-day warranty on the completeness of the kit.  If any parts are missing or damaged, Halibut Electronics will ship replacement parts to the customer at Halibut Electronics’ expense.  Halibut Electronics is unable to warranty the workmanship on the assembly of kits.  However, we will do our best to support assembly difficulties; please contact us with questions or problems you may have.
  • Returns and refunds of unassembled and complete kits in re-sellable condition will be accepted up to 30 days after receipt of the product by the customer, as confirmed by the shipping carrier.  Return shipping will be paid by the customer.

Marketing Items (eg: stickers)

  • No warranty is provided.  They’re stickers.  🙂
  • Returns and refunds on undamaged items in re-sellable condition will be accepted up to 30 days after receipt of the product by the customer, as confirmed by the shipping carrier.  Return shipping will be paid by the customer.
