A custom cable made by Halibut Electronics to connect Yaesu Mobile Radios with a 6p6c (aka RJ12) microphone connector, to the HHI Radio Pro’s 8p8c (aka RJ45).

NOTE: Picture shows a similar Cat5 cable, but not this custom cable.

A custom cable made by Halibut Electronics to connect Yaesu Mobile Radios with a 6p6c (aka RJ12) microphone connector, to the HHI Radio Pro’s 8p8c (aka RJ45). Yaesu puts Mic+ and Mic- on two pins that are not normally a pair in a EIA-568b cable, so both ends of this cable are custom to make sure the microphone signal gets a pair.

While you can’t buy this custom cable elsewhere, you may have the tools on-hand to build it yourself.  See Additional Information tab for the cable pinout.  Otherwise, we sell them here for your convenience.

Cat5 or better. Shielded twisted pair, one of: S/FTP, or F/UTP. Stranded, either 24awg or 26awg.
Connectors

Shielded 8p8c/RJ45 with tab protection boot, to unshielded 6p6c RJ12.
Shielding and tab protection boots are not available in 6p6c. Shielding on one end of the cable is sufficient.
